사진가. 인간이 어떤 존재인지에 대해 생각하고 사건과 일상 속에서 그 단서를 찾으려 애쓴다. 한국의 사회적 이슈와 국제 분쟁, 재난 이슈를 카메라에 담아왔다. 언론사 기자로 일했고 현재 프리랜서로 활동 중이다. 사진집 <사진, 강을 기억하다>, <그날 당신은 어디에 있었는가> 등이 있다. 2020, 2023 온빛사진상, 2025 Yunghi Grant를 수상했다.
Documentary Photographer. I contemplate what it means to be human, striving to find clues within both major events and daily life. I have captured South Korean social issues, international conflicts, and disasters. In 2015, I held a solo exhibition titled "Two Villages' Stories," which documented a submerged village and the Miryang power transmission tower incident. I have also published photo books, including Photography: Remember the River and Where Were You That Day. I previously worked as a staff photographer and photo editor for a Korean newspaper and am now a freelancer. I am a recipient of the 2020 and 2023 Onbit Photography Awards in Korea, and the 2025 Yunghi Grant in the US.
